YouTube Music recently redesigned its Now Playing screen. The most notable update is the new comments section where users can read and write comments directly from the app. The latest upgrades include easily accessible buttons, larger cover art, and more.

A company spokesperson said the redesign will roll out to iOS and Android devices starting today.

As spotted by 9to5Google, YouTube Music has launched a new comments button that shows existing comments on YouTube’s official music videos. Users can also enter their own characters, adding an even more engaging social component to your app.

The comment button is below the cover art. When the user selects the button, the panel slides up on the screen.

Next to the comment are like/dislike, save, share, download, and radio icons. These icons were previously hidden and only accessible when the user tapped the album cover. Move the button below the song title to make it easier to access.

Another small change is that the song and video transitions are now white instead of matching the background color.

This redesign follows the launch of YouTube Music’s new TikTok-style, short-form, personalized video feed “Samples,” featuring YouTube’s official catalog of music videos and live footage.
