WhatsApp voice chat feature released on iOS, Android: How to use it

Meta-owned instant messaging application WhatsApp has officially rolled out a new voice chat feature in groups that allows users to start voice calls without disturbing everyone in the group. This feature will be available to everyone after updating to the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS and Android.

With this feature, the instant messaging app makes it easier for users to communicate in group chats, and introduces new ways to send silent push notifications and initiate voice calls. This feature is available for her WhatsApp groups with members between 33 and 128.

Previously, in a WhatsApp group chat, you could only start a voice call that called all members, and if no one joined, the call wouldn’t happen. Voice Chat now allows you to start a voice chat within a group, even if no one is participating initially. Users are prompted to join silently through silent her push notifications.

Also, anyone can join and start speaking in a group voice chat at any time without calling everyone else in the group chat. A voice chat will automatically end if he remains empty for 60 minutes, but anyone can start a new voice chat at any time.

Group members who are not participating in the voice chat can view active participants in the call through the chat header and the (Calls) tab. The voice chat feature for large groups is available by installing the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS from the App Store and the latest version of WhatsApp for Android from the Google Play Store.

– Open WhatsApp on your Android or iOS device.
