WhatsApp rolls out new interface for app settings in iOS beta

San Francisco: Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is rolling out a new interface for app settings in the iOS beta.

WABetaInfo reports that for beta users, the Settings tab will be replaced with a new “You” tab that displays your profile picture, helping users easily switch between accounts when the multi-account feature launches.

With the new interface, the platform also introduced three new entry points to better highlight important sections of the app.

This gives users easy access to their privacy settings, contact list and profile.

Users will also get a new shortcut above their profile picture to view and share their personal QR code.

The new settings interface is now available to some beta testers who install the latest update of the WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and will be rolled out to more users in the coming weeks, the report said. Masu.

Last week, it was reported that the messaging platform began rolling out caption message editing capabilities on Android and iOS.

This feature allows users to edit captions for videos, GIFs, and documents within 15 minutes of sending a message.

However, users can edit messages with captions only from the device to which the message was originally sent.

Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg also announced that WhatsApp users can now send photos in HD quality.

The HD photo feature is rolling out globally, and HD video is coming soon, the company said.
