Good news for iPhone users is that the instant messaging platform WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is reportedly working on a new interface for the app with new colors, buttons and the ability to filter chats.
“Meta’s app is improving the interface of the app and the numerous updates confirm this theory. Thanks to the WhatsApp beta for iOS 184.108.40.206 update, released last week on the TestFlight app, we learned that WhatsApp has official plans to improve the app’s interface by making major redesigns,” WABetaInfo reported.
According to the report, the redesign includes refreshed navigation bar buttons, which will make the interface more modern. In addition, the instant messaging app also plans to add a filter row that will allow users to sort their chats using two filters: personal conversations and business chats.
As shown in a WABetaInfo screenshot, the main color of the app can turn green. Still, some parts of the interface remain blue. The upcoming updates will change the tab bar to a black shade along with the app title and other buttons. This is a major step forward in introducing improvements to the iOS app interface.
“Over the years, many users have asked for an interface refresh, as improvements have not been made for a long time. As a result, the app may have seemed quite outdated and out of date,” the report said.

Finally, the app, owned by Meta, has listened to user feedback and will continue to improve the app interface in the weeks ahead of its official release. The new interface for the app is under development and will be released in a future update of the app.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp wants to implement new calling features to provide a better privacy and security experience.
