PIA VPN releases updated Android and iOS apps

We’re always working hard behind the scenes at PIA to bring you new features, updates and solutions. That’s why we’re proud to announce the release of Private Internet Access Android 3.23.0 and iOS 3.23.4. In these updates, we’ve fixed some annoying bugs and glitches to ensure our apps run smoothly so you get the best experience every time you connect.

What’s new in Android v3.23.0?

  • Magic Links: We fixed an issue with the magic link that allows you to stay signed in to your account. Sometimes the magic link kicked users out even after they logged in.
  • DNS functionality: We have introduced a new DNS functionality. You can now choose a DNS option from your ISP or another resolver, not just PIA VPN’s DNS.
  • Thread protector strings: We have removed unused WireGuardrelated strings to make our app faster and avoid possible bugs.

What’s new in iOS v3.23.4?

  • App launches: We fixed a bug affecting iOS 12 devices where the app crashed on startup, to provide a smoother and more reliable experience.
  • UX improvements: We’ve made changes to the UX of our iOS app. Now the first button in the Quick Connect section is interactive so you can connect right away.
  • UI changes: We’ve changed the region list text on smaller iOS devices to increase readability and make connecting to a server even faster.

How to get the update

If you are an existing PIA user, simply update the app via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

New to PIA? You can download the app and benefit from a 30-day money-back guarantee.
