New app and iPad prize for 30th anniversary

This year marks the 30th anniversary of both the Noosaville Library and the Noosa Leisure Center in Wallace Park.
To celebrate this, Noosa Libraries is launching a new app. Library users who download the app and log in before December 10 have a chance to win an iPad.
Libraries coordinator Tracey King said the app was ideal for searching the catalogue, renewing and reserving books, or booking for upcoming events.
“The app, now available via the App Store or Google Play, helps make accessing the library even easier. Over the past thirty years, Noosaville Library has helped generations of families and continues to play a vital role in our community,” Ms King said.
Noosa Libraries now has more than 30,000 members and the Noosaville Library welcomes more than 120,000 people every year.
“Over the past thirty years, Noosaville Library has helped generations of families and continues to play a vital role in our community,” Ms King said.
Join the celebrations with the library with a week of free birthday-themed programs and activities: stories, historical displays, a library history talk, a book café, tech classes, 3D printing, a film club and more. For full details and information please call (07) 5329 6555.
Noosa Leisure Center also turns 30 this year, and to celebrate the Leisure Center is offering free selected group fitness classes, as well as a no-obligation 30-day trial membership for $30.
Sign up before November 30 to claim the offer and receive unlimited access to group fitness classes, including yoga, pilates and box fit, and social stadium sports, including badminton and pickleball. For full details and information please call (07) 5329 6550.
Noosa Leisure Center welcomes more than 200,000 people through its doors every year, enjoying a variety of sports, fitness activities and services for people of all ages.
The center has hosted a number of major events over the years, including two Opera Australia shows, a dancing horse show and even a wedding at the Leisure Centre.
Although it has evolved over time, the Noosa Leisure Center still maintains some of the original activities such as basketball, netball, volleyball, indoor football, dance and group fitness classes.
“Our 30th anniversary is a great opportunity to celebrate our achievements and thank our amazing community and members who make it all possible. Noosa Leisure Center has been a place of fun and fitness for 30 years and we can’t wait to celebrate this milestone and the future of this much-loved facility,” said Noosa Leisure Center Coordinator Cathy Lavis.
Both locations are proudly owned and managed by Noosa Council.
