iOS 17 can give you daily crosswords in the News app

If you enjoy a new crossword puzzle with your morning coffee or on your lunch break, you might like one iOS 17‘s new features. When Apple released iOS 17 on September 18, the company offered iPhone users many new and exciting features, such as Standby mode And Live stickers. And crosswords in the News app are among those new features.
To access these puzzles you will need a Apple News Plus subscription, what costs $13 per month. However, you can try Apple News Plus one month freeor what you can get the service for three months free when purchasing one iPhone, iPad or Mac. An Apple News Plus subscription is also part of the Apple One Premier bundle, which comes at a cost $38 per month and includes other services such as Apple TV Plus And Apple Arcade.
Here’s how to access daily crossword puzzles as an Apple News Plus subscriber.
Play crossword puzzles in Apple News
1. Open the Apple News app.
2. Crane As a sequel to in the menu at the bottom of your screen.
3. Crane Puzzles.
Apple News Plus subscribers can play a new crossword puzzle every day.
You can also access crossword puzzles by visiting Apple News > Today > Latest puzzles — this option was quite far down my Today page.
On the puzzle page you will find the latest crossword puzzles of the week. At the top of the page you will also see options for Crossword puzzle And Crossword Mini, which are smaller crossword puzzles arranged in a 5×5 grid. Tap either of these options and the app will take you to the latest puzzles for both choices.
How to play the puzzles
Once you’ve decided which puzzle to play, you can solve it in two ways: grid view And list view. By default you will be in grid view, which is a traditional crossword puzzle format. You’ll see the entire grid and if you tap a square you’ll see a clue below the puzzle. You can also switch between vertical and horizontal prompts by tapping a square a second time or tapping the prompt.
The List View, on the other hand, eschews the traditional grid of a crossword puzzle and shows you all the clues and how many letters each answer contains in a list format. To access the list view, tap the bulleted list icon in the top left corner of your screen when you’re in a puzzle. As you enter letters in the list view, other clues fill in letters where the clues intersect in the grid. I still think list view sounds difficult, but I’m not very good at crossword puzzles to begin with.
How many puzzles are there?
There are two new puzzles every day, a crossword and a crossword mini. It looks like the puzzles will be accessible about a month after publication, so you’ll have access to a small archive of crossword puzzles to play. This is also a new feature, so the number of puzzles available may change.
