iOS 17.2 expands sensitive content warnings on iPhone

Starting with iOS 17.2, currently in beta and scheduled for release in December, Apple’s opt-in sensitive content warning feature will work on contact posters in both the Contacts and Phone apps, and stickers in the Messages app.
When you turn on the Sensitive Content Warning feature, it uses on-device machine learning to analyze photos and videos and blur photos and videos with detected nudity before users view them. Apple says it has not received any indication that nudity has been detected and will not access any photos or videos as a result.
Sensitive content warnings are also available for messages in the Messages app, AirDrop transfers, and FaceTime video messages. The feature was introduced on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch earlier this year. Starting in 2021, Apple is offering similar communication safety features for children using the same devices.
