In addition to visionOS beta 6, Apple releases a third developer and public beta for iOS 17.2 and macOS 14.2

Update: Public betas of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and the HomePod update are now available.
The third developer betas of iOS 17.2, macOS 14.2, watchOS 10.2, and tvOS 17.2 are now available. Apple also released the sixth beta version of visionOS for Vision Pro developers. We will update with any changes we discover.
OS 17.2 is the first version to introduce Apple’s Journal app. Apple’s Journal app was first unveiled at WWDC 2023. The company said it would be released later this year instead of launching with iOS 17.0 and would include the following features:
- Uses on-device machine learning to create personalized journaling suggestions – Suggestions API for other apps
- Includes photos, training and interactions as clues
- Entries can be marked as important to stand out
- Prompts will inspire you to write
- The diary can be locked and is end-to-end encrypted for privacy
What’s coming in iOS 17.2?
From the first beta, we’ve seen new weather widgets for details, daily forecasts, and sunrise and sunset on iOS and macOS, as well as a new analog clock on iPhone and iPad. Books also has a new animation option for quickly fading pages.
