CDOT to conduct guardrail repairs on US 24 starting Monday, November 6th — Colorado Department of Transportation

El Paso County and Teller County— Starting Monday, the Colorado Department of Transportation will perform overnight guardrail repairs on the eastbound lanes of U.S. 24 from mile point 294 to mile point 297. Eastbound motorists should allow extra travel time due to slow speeds and limited lanes throughout the work zone (November .6-9). This highway has some blind curves, so travelers should use extreme caution.

Traffic impact

Starting Nov. 6, motorists will encounter road construction in the eastbound lanes of US 24 between MP 294 and 297.

  • Night shift hours are Monday to Friday from 8pm to 4am
  • Traffic will be detoured to keep one eastbound lane open.
  • Speed ​​limits will be reduced to 45 mph within work zones
