Blackmagic Design has announced a new iPhone app called Blackmagic Camera that allows users to create high-quality movie videos with a “Hollywood” look and feel. This app seamlessly integrates with Blackmagic Cloud and syncs content directly to his DaVinci Resolve video editing app.
The app incorporates the same camera controls and image processing features found in Blackmagic Design’s professional cameras, with adjustable settings for frame rate, shutter angle, audio levels, tint, shutter speed, lens, white balance, and ISO. is provided. The user-friendly interface includes recording parameters, histogram, focus peaking, levels and frame guides. Just tap the screen to focus and shoot in 16:9 or vertical aspect ratio.
The Blackmagic Camera app allows you to record 4K ProRes video directly to Blackmagic Cloud, making it easy to transfer content to your post-production studio for editing. Alternatively, users can save the video to their iPhone or export it to an external drive. The app’s sync bin tool lets you seamlessly line up footage from multiple iPhones in DaVinci Resolve.
