Apple today seeded the third beta version of its upcoming iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2 updates to public beta testers, allowing non-developers to try out the software ahead of release. His third iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2 public beta comes two weeks after Apple released his second public beta.
Public beta testers can get the beta by opening the Settings app, going to the Software Update section, tapping the “Beta Updates” option, and switching to the “iOS 17” or “iPadOS 17” public beta. You’ll need to sign up on Apple’s beta testing website.
iOS 17.2 adds the Journal app, designed to help iPhone and iPad users record their daily activities and thoughts. Apple provides prompts that you can use as inspiration, allowing you to incorporate images, audio recordings, location tags, and more into your diary entries.
Apple Music now offers collaborative playlists, allowing you to create playlists with multiple people. We’ve also added a Favorites playlist with all your favorite music. Stickers can now be used as tapback reactions in the Messages app, the action button on iPhone 15 Pro models can now be set to a new translation feature, and Apple has implemented support for iMessage contact key verification.
