Amazon will discontinue Android and iOS Comixology apps and integrate them into Kindle

Amazon has announced that it will be discontinuing its Comixology app and all content will be integrated into the Kindle app in December.
Comixology has long been considered one of the best ways for users to read purchased electronic comic books, but things are changing since the company was acquired by Amazon. In 2022, the original His Comixology app was replaced by a substantially reskinned Kindle app. YouTube channel nerd sink They successfully overcame the situation at the time.
And now Amazon is taking things even further.
As of December 4, 2023, the Comixology app will be permanently retired. The separate His Comixology app no longer works on Android, iOS, and Amazon’s own tablets. Instead, the user must access the library through his Amazon Kindle app on these platforms.
Amazon explains:
On December 4, 2023, the Comixology and Kindle applications on iOS, Android, and Fire OS will be combined and the Comixology app will no longer be available. Starting December 4, 2023, you can continue to access Comixology comics, graphic novels, and manga titles on the Kindle app. Make sure you use the same Amazon login that you currently use for the Comixology app.
Other than switching apps, Amazon claims users will be minimally impacted by this change as their reading progress will be synced and all Comixology books will also be available on Kindle. Comixology Unlimited will also continue to function.
